Why the political elite is down in the mouth with Imran Khan?

imran-khan-blog
The emergence of Imran Khan on the political scene which has been in the making for a long time, and now making the political elite deems he’s moved the goalposts, is entirely a different scenario in the political history of Pakistan. Imran Khan has violently shaken the strong foundations of this conceited and corrupt class of glitterati who has been looted the masses ruthlessly for so long. Pakistani people who have been holding up for a new Pakistan under the leadership of Imran Khan since last year, are now poles apart compared to some years ago. They are now politically matured and aware of their rights and can’t be made fool furthermore by Sharifs and Zardaris. What’s more, they are hopeful that they will make a go of the current struggle which is geared for to supplant the decades long corrupt and flawed system with a fair and just one.
Here a question arises – why the political elite and status quo forces are so scared of Imran Khan? Why are they resisting violently? It’s very simple: in politics change and status quo are two opposing things and they never coexist come what may. On the one hand there are the ruling elites who have been looting the masses in the name of so-called democracy for many years and usurped upon the rights and basic needs of poor people. They persist on to continue the present system of looting regardless how worst suffered are the masses being part of it. They cut deals to conceal their corruption and legislate to legitimize their illegal acts. People are so oppressed and subjected to severe unjustness and unfairnesses by the ruling elites that they find it difficult to stand out against them.
They run businesses while disguised themselves as elected leaders. They legitimize their looting of public money and think it their privilege. They come in to power through rigging and dishonesty and therefore don’t care of people’s sufferings. It’s actually a dynastic system being run by two families and there is nothing good for common people though they are brought to polling stations in the name of democracy and hollow slogans of betterment. Once in power, they kick them around and don’t bother serving them. Public money has been looted ruthlessly by them for erecting business empires within the country and abroad. Common people are nothing but worms in their eyes though they live luxurious lifestyle on their money. They won’t let the current system go easily because it’s beneficial for their businesses and looting. Moreover, now they have groomed their children to rule the masses as their vassals.
On the other hand there is Imran Khan who’s advocating change, stands for justice, fair-play and struggling for a corruption-free and truly democratic Pakistan. He is the hero of millions Pakistanis within as well outside the country. He’s making every effort for the rights of poor lots of this wretched country. So we see why the middle and poor classes thronged the PTI Jalsas in million across the country. It’s very promising that the urban educated middle class is also following Imran Khan for Naya Pakistan. One thing is clear – that in Naya Pakistan there is no room for the current corrupt political elite and forces of status quo. So why they got together to save the ‘system’ from derailment otherwise they will be doomed for ever.
Imran Khan’s sit-in and rallies made it possible for millions of Pakistanis to say aloud what they have been feeling for a long time. He gave the dumb lots tongue who were tyrannically oppressed by the vicious rulers. He engendered favourable circumstances for the masses to fight for their rights and stand up to their corrupt leaders. Go Nawaz Go chant is a big success of PTI sit-in which will eventually bring Nawaz government to its knees. The ruling elites and their stooges are worried if the ongoing struggle succeeded, they will certainly be held accountable for their looting. Their business empires will collapse and with it their decades long tyrannical rule come to an end. Mere the fear of accountability, conceding their rule, and stop to their luxurious lifestyle is eroding them and disrupted their sleep. Imran Khan is their worst nightmare though they are united and struggling hard to avert the current mess but reality is different what they have been mulling over for the last three months. Pakistani people have decided to support Imran Khan for change and Naya Pakistan.
Had Imran Khan not come out for poor people and held sit-in, the government wouldn’t have decreased petroleum prices. Maryam Nawaz was appointed as chairperson of Prime Minister Youth Loan Programme by her father, she wouldn’t have resigned if Imran Khan hadn’t stood for the rights of poor people and awakened them from deep slumber. What’s her qualification for that post? Only being daughter of Nawaz Sharif. It’s an irony that youths of our country were being given loans by princess of our corrupt monarch. But humiliated and demeaning was Maryam Nawaz when she ‘voluntarily tendered resignation’. It’s change we have been waiting for for years and brought about by Imran Khan.
Pakistani people had acquiesced in the previous regimes of Nawaz Sharif and PPP but nothing came out good which could have improved their lives. Now they are pinning their hopes on Imran Khan that he will redress their longstanding grievances which have been unaddressed for decades. He’s persistently highlighting the achilles heels of the current corrupt regime of PML-N. It’s actually a training of the people in democracy. His sit-in and rallies made it possible for the masses to know the obnoxious faces of status quo leaders who suck their blood.
Some critics argue that after sit-in Imran Khan’s popularity graph is declining but as we noticed, it’s on the rise and at present he is the most popular leader of Pakistan. Before the 2013 general elections, Imran Khan’s popularity was rising steadily. At Lahore Jalsa on March 13, 2013, he managed a brilliant crowd of 150,000 – 200,000. That was a well planned Jalsa with a lot of effort have been put in and he managed to gather such a large crowd. During the sit-in, on a few days notice, he gathered close to a million people and held the biggest public gathering of Pakistan history in Lahore. I ask those critics whether popularity is going up or down. His popularity is its zenith at the present time. It’s undoubtedly certain that he will unfetter the masses from the bondage of status quo leaders though it will take time. Something big will definitely demand sacrifices, time and of course courage and forbearance. Pakistani people have made their minds following Imran Khan to achieve Naya Pakistan no matter what happens.

A prelude to PTI’s deadline of November 30th

imran-blog
Whilst India’s Prime Minister is focusing on making a cleaner India with the clean up campaign rolled out across and as well his instructions to the private corporate sector that for their Community Social Responsibility they build toilets starting from schools instead of wasting billions on adverts. Pakistan is struggling to clean the house where some politicians come for a debate every now and then. Yes! I am very sure that whilst it may be easier to clean whole of India of the filth. We may not be able to clear off the filth sitting in our assemblies in this generation at least or maybe unless we do something about it.
Our Holiness Imran Khan has given a new date of November 30th for changing the fate of Pakistanis. I have been very curious for the last couple of days  to why this specific date is being flagged. So I have been thinking, what is going on in the head of our Holiness? number one logic comes out is, that maybe it’s a Sunday and he can hope to get a full house both on the ground or in front of the TV i.e. maximum TRP’s . But its not that only ,something is more to it so i sat down with a cup of coffee and started browsing over the net.

Baaz (2014) Watch Online Dvd Scr Rip - Part 1

Roti, Kapra, Makaan Aur Shaheed

Roti, Kapra aur Makaan
The physical needs of man are basic enough to be described in merely three words. The sound of the provision of the basic necessities of life sparks a ferocious emotion in the hearts of most our citizens. Such a small price to pay, isn’t it? Promise the people three simple things and you will rule their hearts and of course votes, for generations.
Roti. A thin hot white bread describes a harsher reality than its literal meaning. We are a hungry nation and the allure of promised food is too much for our poor stomachs to resist. This shows how poor our people truly are. Could the Democrats in the United States ever dare to belittle the proud American citizens by promising mere bread? How low are the standards of Pakistani voters that they are swayed by the false but mouthwatering smell of imaginary bread?
Kapra. I am sure that in country like ours, there’s plenty of kapra to go around. The right-wing has made sure of that for half the population already. The heat takes care of the other half. Besides, what significance does a piece of cloth really have to our people? What arouses such an evolutionary construct in the minds of our citizens? Do they want to feel the warmth of mere cloth or do they want to feel the warmth of being protected by their state.
Makaan. This one makes a lot more sense. There are tens of millions of citizens who don’t have access to a permanent residence. Natural calamities like floods leave millions of helpless people without homes. A political notion comprising of an agenda to provide accommodation for our marginalized homeless citizens seems like a rational choice. Why wouldn’t the poorest of poor, the majority, support this political force? All three ingredients, Roti, Kapra Aur Makaan put together sum up an equation, which is too delicious to refuse.
Add some blood into the equation, not regular blood but the most precious kind of blood there is, martyr blood. Spray the blood of your political martyrs onto your ideology like there’s nothing else to it. Make a graveyard so grand that the Sufi Mazaars begin to feel challenged. Now you’ve not only satisfied the political needs of the people but you are beginning to appeal to a more primitive need, a religious longing. Other pirs will start losing their business as thousands flock to the Mazaars of your shaheeds and they will welcome you with open arms and open hearts should you choose to engage with them. Roti, Kapra, Makaan aur Shaheed. Now you’ve got four things covered.
This whole concoction might sound absurd but it is actually the recipe of the most successful political party in the history of Pakistan, the Pakistan People’s Party. A leader founded this party, a leader that was chosen by the people. No matter what ones differences might be with the party, no one can deny that this party mesmerized the masses more times than anyone else.
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto founded this party and ruled Pakistan. His daughter inherited the party and ruled Pakistan twice. Her husband then saw himself as the President of Pakistan after her passing. Today, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the Chairman of the party and is carrying the weight of this grand legacy on his shoulders. What needs to be clearly addressed is that a lot of power has been granted to this party on the basis of the promises of the basic necessities of life. The Pakistani voters now demand much more in order to bestow power to these leaders. If the Oxford educated chairman does not comprehend this or does not wish to address this then the chances of coming back in power are slim.
Pakistani citizens are dying of hunger in Thar. Criminals have taken over the law and order situation in Karachi and the only completely safe area seems to fortunately be Bilawal House. Benazir contested the election from Lyari, now it is plagued by gang violence. There is an 85-year-old man who is responsible for running the state of affairs in the province in which you are in power. What is going on?
Democracy is the best revenge. Indeed, and it has taken its revenge from you in the last elections. The ‘jiyalas’ of this party have overwhelmingly high expectations from this party. They need much more than roti, kapra, makaan aur shaheed to be convinced. The biggest problem our beloved country is facing today is the menace of religious extremism. I applaud you for your clear and vocal stance against extremism but if you want to rise up to the stature of your elders, you will need to combat this enemy head on. It is a great cost indeed but hasn’t the founder of this party and his daughter paid the ultimate price? Are you willing to pay that price, if you truly want to be called ‘Bhutto’.

Realization of Inclusive Education in Azad Jammu & Kashmir

kashmir-blog
Inclusive education advocates for educational systems with an approach that serves the needs of all learners while identifying and overcoming barriers that prevent children with disabilities from being included in the educational system. Azad Jammu & Kashmir has a high literacy rate of 66% compared with Pakistan 56%. Inspite of this commendable figure, about 28.9% of children with disabilities (CWDs) between the ages of 5 and 20 do not attend primary and high school. These figures are significantly higher when compared to children without disabilities in the same age groups.
The Constitution of Pakistan recognizes education as a directive principle of state policy under article 25-A of the Constitution and justifiable right. However, the National Education Policy of 2009 expressly affirms the rights of children with disabilities & without disabilities to education. In addition, Section 9 of the Constitution Article 25-A imposes an obligation on duty bearers to ensure that children with disabilities are included in the educational system.
The right to education is also protected under Article 24 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). This provision also places an obligation on state parties not to exclude children with disabilities from free and compulsory primary education, and that the inclusion is complemented by accessibility, reasonable accommodation, and effective individualized support aimed at maximizing academic and social development. Pakistan ratified the CRPD in 2008 and adopted a free universal primary education in 2001 as a means of achieving education for all. Pakistan has a National Disability Policy of 2002, the Education Sector Strategic Plan 2013-2016, and the Special Education Unit under department of social welfare all geared towards achieving inclusive education for children with disabilities.
The legal implication of these laws and policies is that the government of Pakistan has obligations under international and domestic law to ensure that children with disabilities are not excluded from the general educational system and that children with disabilities can learn on an equal basis with abled children. However, children with disabilities still do not attend primary school. There is a huge gap between the legal framework and the practical implementation of inclusive education in Pakistan & Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
Several factors account for Azad Jammu & Kashmir’s poor realization of inclusive education. Inadequate human and material resources such as trained teachers, facilities are not inclusive are a major challenge. More importantly, children with disabilities are still perceived as abnormal and should not be placed together with children without disabilities.
An inclusive system is reflective of a system that provides a range of support that meets the needs of all children. Pakistan’s and AJK’s self-proclaimed practice of inclusive education is based on placing children in the mainstream classroom with inadequate facilities. These few facilities are usually made available at the insistence of disabled people’s organizations, and sometimes by the government. This approach reflects an integrated system requiring children with disabilities to fit in rather than an inclusive system designed to meet the needs of all children including children with disabilities.
There is a lack of commitment by the government in creating the necessary inclusive environment through facilities, support and capacity building programmes to fill the gaps in the educational sector. As long as children with disabilities do not have access to quality basic education in an all-inclusive system and on an equal basis with others, Pakistan and AJK falls short of its obligations under Article 24 of the CRPD.
In conforming to the standards of the Convention, capacity building is its key. This requires the government of Pakistan and AJK to support regular and effective capacity building initiatives such as workshops and disability equality training for all teachers in the educational system. Allocation of sufficient resources to facilitate an all-inclusive educational system and develop the capacity of all schools in providing education for all children is also necessary. This needs to be complemented by renovating public utilities to accord accessibility to schools and other public places.
The legal framework in Pakistan is conducive for inclusive education; however this has not been translated into measureable targets aimed at providing education for all categories of children. Pakistan and AJK is yet to realize that the full implication of inclusive education involves developing all schools to meet the needs of all children with disabilities and not limiting educational opportunities for children with disabilities to specific schools as the current situation does. Education cannot be free if the system lacks proper mechanism to make it available for the benefit of all children.

Why Imran & PTI should compromise on Resignation of PM Nawaz

imran-khan
Why Imran & PTI should compromise on Resignation of PM Nawaz in lieu of a genuinely empowered Judicial Commission backed by a Joint Investigation Team with ISI & MI as components?
Because the real progress in Pakistani democratic history will take place when a genuinely powerful Judicial Commission will be able to investigate the rigging, deliberate wrong doings and executive and policy failures that marred the Election 2013 which without any doubt has been the most controversial and hotly disputed election since 1977. An Election that has jeopardized the future of democracy in Pakistan.
If you are watching the debate on tv screens, you will realize that all parties and their “hired guns” are afraid of a genuine free fair and transparent election under a reformed restructured Election Commission are trying to sabotage the whole concept of the Judicial Commission. All kinds of funny and ridiculous excuses are being given for instance that this will be involvement of Army into politics. Surprisingly none of these johnnies protested when PMLN invited military under Art: 245 into Islamabad under the phony excuse of terrorism; then PM forced Army Chief to mediate into a political confrontation and sent ISI and MI officers to sit in negotiations. Now these “hired guns” are crying for using Election Tribunals. In our recent programs we were able to highlight that why Election Tribunals are meaningless to investigate the kind of systematic rigging that was done in Elections 2013. Following are some key points:
One, the Election Tribunals worked like Session Courts on the Pakistani convention of Adversarial Trials where both sides (who challenge each other) have to bring accusations and then evidence to back it up. Tribunals then got caught in technical matters as pointed out by the lawyer that most petitions were thrown out for not meeting the requirements of Sec 55(3) of the Representation of Public Act 1976 (ROPA) leading to a situation where facts are never investigated since every step of work of the Tribunals gets stuck into Technical and procedural issues. This brings us to the first important point that Judicial Commission under Supreme Court should be fully empowered to act as an Inquisitorial Court like the French and Swiss Model where Judges can ask all kinds of questions, frame queries and then direct the Executive/Investigative Agencies to collect facts, all kind of facts and evidence to help the court understand the situation.
Second, this analysis itself helps understand that why Judicial Commission will be meaningless without the support of a powerful “Joint Investigative Team” consisting of Police, IB, ISI and MI. The last two agencies are the only two agencies who have real capacity of collecting and processing all kinds of information and are not under the control of any provincial party that fought elections.
Third, the single most important step which the Judicial Commission has to take is to order the Election Commission of Pakistan to place all Form-14’s (Statements of Count) around 70,000 in case of National Assembly Elections on its website. Why website? because Election Monitors, Political Parties and Media who are in possession of the thousands of such Form-14’s issued on 11th May 2013 can then compare and check if the Form-14’s ECP used to compile election results match with the Form-14’s being issued by the Presiding Officers in the evening of 11th May 2013. This comparison alone will furnish massive evidence to raise questions about the workings and transparency of the Election 2013. In case of differences Judicial Commission can order verification of ‘thumb impressions’ of Presiding Officers on Form-14’s. Specimens of thumb impressions of the Presiding Officers officially designated by ECP to work on 11th May 2013 are available in NADRA and AGPR. These two steps will answer most of the questions; opening way for larger investigation of why Election 2013 went horribly wrong.
Fourth, the deal between Nawaz Govt and PTI should be that govt agrees to create such a powerful independent Inquisitorial Commission supported by a JIT with ISI and MI technical support and PTI agrees to withdraw the demand of the resignation of PM Nawaz Sharif even on the conclusion of such investigations. Sword of resignation dangling on head of Prime Minister & PMLN makes it practically impossible to clear the way for political transition towards a transparent, fair next Elections in 2015.
Instead Judicial Commission should focus on finding the nature of rigging and irregularities, should suggest ways and means to improve the system, recommend the structure of a new reformed Election Commission which should be empowered on the pattern of the Indian Election Commission that takes over administration before the Election doing away the drama of this fake Interim Govt which in Pakistan is only used to do rigging under the excuse that we were not running the government and poor Najam Sethi was the Chief Minister of Punjab and so on. For all practical purposes PMLN was running Punjab, PPP interior Sindh and MQM Karachi before May Elections in 2013 and all managed to collect as many votes as they needed.
Judicial Commission cannott and should not recommend the resignation of PM Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan should compromise on this demand in lieu for getting a genuinely empowered Commission backed by JIT supported by MI and ISI.
Commission once it finds the rigging and irregularities and their scope may recommend an “Early Elections” either in the beginning of 2015 or end of 2015; and political parties can settle amongst themselves the addition of opposition like PTI and PPP into central and provincial governments (Cabinets) to increase transparency before the these elections. But the single most important step at that stage will be the creation of a new Election Commission in which process should be more important than personalities.
This whole debate about who will head the Election Commission is meaningless, [an energetic civil servant in his fifties should head it instead of octogenarian judges] what is important is the internal balance of power between its various organs and total transparency so that all political parties, media, election monitors and civil society organizations can continuously examine what is happening inside the Election Commission. Multan Bye-Elections is a good example of how massive rigging becomes impossible when media and monitors are watching each step and bureaucracies are less inclined to help politicians rig the election.

Forced conversions in Pakistan: “Eeshwar kaun hai, Allah bol Allah!”

This type of conversion is its own example in idiocy and nonsense. Not to mention, it is an outrageous violation of the amicable teachings of our religion. PHOTO: REUTERS
Scuffles and screams rang through the dark night. They were three and they were burly. They had her in a firm grip with her mouth gagged with a rough cloth. It was probably 11 or 12 o’clock at night. Not very late for a summer night but half the village had no electricity, so people turned in early.
Her screams could have woken up the neighbours, if they had any. Theirs was a mud hut in a lone corner of the basti. She desperately tried to make as much noise as possible but it was of no use. The men had tied her daughter up completely now.
In the faint glow of the oil lamp,  looked at her. Her eyes wide with horror, Kumari silently pleaded her mother to free her. Reshma Bai attempted to attack one of the captors yet again with renewed fervour but she was knocked down. They carried Kumari across the small courtyard and to the gate; Reshma Bai struggled back to her feet as quickly as her arthritic knees would allow and ran screaming after them,
Hamari bachi ko na le jao bhaiya jee! Eeshwar ka wasta tumko bhaiya jee! Kumarriii!
(Don’t take our girl away brother! For God’s sake, brother!)
Paying her little heed, they put Kumari in the back of the car. One of the men turned back, striding towards Reshma Bai; he slapped her hard across the face. The bearded man said to Reshma, scathingly:
Kafir napaak aurat! Allah bol Allah! Teri beti ko Allah nay chunna hai. Usko Kalima parha kar paak karlengay hum aur phir shayed kisi Muslim larkay se shadi bhi krwa dein. Shukriya adaa kr hamara! Agar tu nay kisi sey shikayat ki tou main gala ghont doonga tera! Kafir munkir maar kar sawaab milay ga!
(Infidel, unclean woman! Say Allah! Who is this Eeshwar? Your daughter has been chosen by Allah. We will make her recite the Kalima so that she becomes pure and then we might get her married off to some Muslim boy. Be thankful to us! If you so much as utter a word about this to anyone I’ll strangle you! Killing infidels will earn me rewards!)
Seeing him up close, she recognised his face from somewhere but she couldn’t recall and then they drove away with her only daughter. As Reshma Bai sat down on the ground sobbing, she called out for her husband who had gone to the town but deep down she knew, at this point nobody could have saved her daughter.
Reshma Bai is one of the many mothers living in rural communities of Pakistan who have seen their children being abducted by the forceful men of the region to convert them These people are the lowest link of the societal ecosystem which makes such blatant exploitation possible to happen to them. They are the lower caste Hindus living in rural areas of Pakistan. Their lives are a round-the-clock misery that involves abject poverty and a lifetime of insult at hands of all other dwellers of the region as their own kin look down their noses at them.
Their rights in the constitution make them entitled to equal or even more rights as citizens but in reality, their plights are untreated and worse, unheard. Alongside the already bleak circumstances, they are also falling victim to cases of forced conversions and marriages of their women specifically. Reshma Bai’s account is a fictional depiction of the helplessness of a lower caste Hindu mother in saving her daughter from being snatched away.
The real case in question these days is that of the . Their adolescent daughter has been abducted and forcibly converted to Islam. After the conversion, she was married to a much older man. This revolting behaviour on parts of our fellow countrymen is appalling to the extreme.
Our society unknowingly suffers from a terrible disease. The syndrome of tenacity and antiquity, which grips our minds, is a deadly force that stagnates our thinking to such degree that we lash out to destroy everything that is even slightly different from our perceived notions. This impairment causes some of us to point fingers, malign, judge, argue with or in extreme cases such as the above mentioned one, force the other person to convert to our
I am aware that people will argue and criticise this as ‘degrading the country as a whole’ for the actions of ‘a few individuals’, and that my write up is ‘depicting Pakistan is a negative light once again’. But my question to them is, why are you sitting silently and allowing such atrocities to take place? Is this silence not tacit approval? If we are not fighting it, have we not accepted it? And if we have accepted it, we have permitted it. And that is exactly why all of Pakistan is responsible for the act of the few that indulge in this atrocious crime.
This disease is the reason that each and every one of our daily interaction involves judging others against a list of high end morals and traits that we generate to straddle our giant egos. In some cases, it stops at making stinging remarks, and in others, it can go as far as physically forcing someone to embrace our beliefs.
This type of conversion is its own example in idiocy and nonsense. Not to mention, it is an outrageous violation of the amicable teachings of our religion.
But however dreary the situation may seem, there are still many who are holding up the skies above their heads. There are still people who embed amity among one another because they recognise people not by skin colour, language or religion but by their humanity. The problem lies in our recurrent sense of apathy though. We lie back in comfort listening to such incidents on television, shaking our heads in disapproval but in for all practical purposes, we are doing nothing. Unless we highlight the issue at multiple forums loudly and clearly, the message will be smothered into abysmal depths of ignorance.
In order to broadcast the the only conversion required is in our own behaviours. I strongly condemn this act of cowardice by our people against a downtrodden minority. It is disgraceful for us as a nation and as Muslims. It has to be stopped.

Daish Expanding Tentacles in Pakistan

KARACHI: The provincial government of Balochistan has conveyed a confidential report to the federal government and law enforcement agencies warning of increased footprints of militant organisation Islamic State (IS), also known by the Arabic acronym Daish, in Pakistan.

The ‘secret information report', a copy of which is available with DawnNews, is dated October 31, and states that IS has claimed to have recruited a massive 10 to 12,000 followers from the Hangu and Kurram Agency tribal areas.

"It has been reliably learnt that Daish has offered some elements of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) and Ahl-e-Sunnat Wai Jamat (ASWJ) to join hands in Pakistan. Daish has also formed a ten-member Strategic Planning Wing," the report from the Home and Tribal Affair Department of Balochistan says.

The report states that the IS plans to attack military installations and government buildings in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in retaliation to the army-led Zarb-i-Azb operation in North Waziristan and also plans to target members of the minority Shia community.

The Balochistan government called for heightened vigilance and security measures in the province as well as the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to prevent and pre-empt such attacks.

It has moreover called for sensitising law enforcement agencies on the issue and an increased monitoring of LeJ members.

The warning comes days after six top commanders of the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), including its now defunct spokesman Shahidullah Shahid, have announced their allegiance to IS's caliph Abu Bakar Al-Baghdadi Al Qureshi Al-Hussaini..

The Taliban spokesman said he, along with TTP chief for Orakzai Agency Saeed Khan, TTP chief for Kurram Agency Daulat Khan, TTP's Khyber Agency chief Fateh Gul Zaman, TTP’s Peshawar chief Mufti Hassan and TTP’s Hangu chief Khalid Mansoor, have announced their allegiance to Abu Bakar Al-Baghdadi.

Earlier in the week, Shahidullah Shahid was replaced by Mohammad Khurasani as the new TTP spokesperson

The Islamic State's presence has not been officially established so far.
Perceived threat?

Security expert Dr Ejaz Hussain believes that Pakistan faces a perceived threat from the IS but it can mature into a real threat if they succeed in aligning themselves with the splinter groups of mainstream militants groups, including the TTP.

“If the Pakistan security apparatus fails to check their footprints, it could be a setback for them in future. It appears that the IS wants to focus on Pakistan and Afghanistan, particularly the time when US forces begin to withdraw from Afghanistan. If not checked, IS will pose a major threat to South Asia and the Persian Gulf,” Hussain told Dawn.

IS, which is led by Abu Bakar Al-Baghdadi, is currently based in Iraq and Syria and occupies border areas. It is accused of killing hundreds of Muslims and some American and UK citizens, which include journalists and aid workers.

Wall-chalking has also begun to appear in support of IS in some cities of Pakistan, including Karachi and Khanewal.
